First you have to take off the oval cover on the part of the visor where it rotates (on the driver side this would be closest to the driver side window on the ceiling). Under that cover there's two screws, take those out, unplug the wire harness for the lights in the visors and you're good to go.

He means the 'rear-view mirror', not the visors. :)

CTC-

I believe there is a single allen-head screw on the piece, then it slides off of the base. Otherwise, you can probably use something to pry it off as it's attached with a special kind of glue.

Don't pry it off the glass....
There is a good chance you'll break the windshield trying...

To remove the factory mirror it has a spring clip that snaps over the base of the mirror
its like 1/2inch square like a cap/clip kinda hard to explain. But when you look at it, you'll understand.

You'll need a small flat head screwdriver. take your time and inspect the mirror... the clip is
sorta like a C shaped flat metal piece(like half a cylinder)
