Can anyone tell me how to install these gauges. This is one of the first mods for my 2000 cat and I have no idea how to even get the dash off. Any help will be great.

OK ....lets start:

1. Remove radio(if stock, you need the keys to get it out--dealer can help ya) and take out the 2 screws in the top of the opening

2. Remover ash tray and cig lighter trim and remove those 2 screws

3. Remove panel under steering wheel-- BIG flat one

4. Remove 2 screws that can now be accessed from left hand side of steering wheel(under dash)

5. Pull headlight switch panel off

6. Using a flat head screw driver pull out the black buttons on the right side of the dash above the AC controlls--- remove screw behind them.

7. Pull big dash panel out from dash(one that had the radio opening)

8. Remove all screws holding the black "hood" of the dash on and remove hood

9. Remove all screws holding the gauge cluster in.

10. Unclip the wire harnesses that attach to the gauge cluster

11. Take clear plastic cover off from the gauge cluster.

12. Follow instructions included with gauges to install the correctly

13. For indiglos you need to tap into a power/ground. I used the power group running into the light bulb that is used to light up the dimmer switch.

14. Reverse steps to reinstall dash.

15. ENJOY YOUR NEW GAUGES

This is the best description of taking apart the dash for the gauges I have seen yet.
Gonna give it a shot sometime this weekend.
