i have photoshop, and i've changed image size to less than 120 x 120 pixels, and when i saved it as a jpeg, it said it was less than 6 kb, but when i try to upload it, it still says its too big. also, when i had it within these restraints i had to turn the quality way down, so it was all fuzzy. everyone else's is fairly clear.

so how do you resize pictures to fit on here?

Try saving it as a gif. Also, there might be a discrepency between size on disk and actual picture size. I don't know which one these forums go by though.

<-- Ooohh....fishies!

Yep...I had to save it as a .gif for mine to work. The proportions are all f'd up, though, so I gotta work on that some more...

Pick up a copy of Paint Shop Pro (trial on www.jasc.com), and use the gif optimizer to do the conversions and downgrades. You can see a number of different compression results on your screen, then choose the one that looks the best, and is the most space-efficient.

Always worked for me.
