Straight off the Ford CD:
First remove the tail lights. Remove the three nuts that hold them on and pull them out, and disconnect the electrical connectors.
Loosen both wheel nuts, raise the car, remove both wheels.
Detach the anti-lock braking system sensor and the brake wear wiring from the clips. Looks like there are three of them.
Remove the fender splash shields. Looks like 7 fasteners around the wheel well.
Detach the bumper cover from the fenders. Looks like 2 fasteners at either wheel well.
Detach the license plate lamps.
Disconnect the license plate lamp electrical connectors
Remove the lower bumper cover fixings. There are three of these, pretty much toward the back of the bumper cover. Pry up on the center part then pull the rest out.
Remove the upper bumper cover fixings. There are seven of them, starting from one taillamp and going around the bumper cover.
From here the bumper cover should pull right off. You might want an extra couple sets of hands for that.

I have a question. Can you remove the bumper cover without taking the bumper cover off?
I'll address this both ways, since you seem to have been in a hurry.

You can remove the bumper cover without removing the bumper, but you can't remove the bumper without removing the bumper cover.
