Help Hooking Bomz Intake

Ok before anyone says anything about buying crap off ebay, I know, I expected to have problems. But since this is my first intake I have a question. The intake only came with one hose that has an internal diameter of 10mm, and those work fine for connecting the two smaller hoses, but I have a question about the 3/4" air supply hose shown here.

I noticed that with the Injen intake that they give you a 15mm hose to replace this one. I think I could use the stock hose but it has an internal diameter of 20mm and the point where you would connect that hose to the intake is only 15mm. Would a clamp around the hose on the 15mm connection point on the intake be good enough of a seel or should I get a 15mm hose like the one injen uses.

Also when I was poking around on cougardb I notice someone with a Weapon R intake that was using the stock hose, so maybe someone with a Weapon R intake would have experienced this already.

Here is a pic of what i'm talking about on the injen intake.

all the intakes are pretty much alike so if anyone give you crap tell them to shove it..

as for your hose delima. how do you get 15mm over a 20 mm nipple?? My AEM actually came with a splice. I would go to the hardware store and see if you can get a splice that goes from 20 to 15 and then a small length of 15mm.
I don't thinkink clamping 20mm to 15mm would provide a very good seal and I would expect your hose to rip in a very short time.

I used heater hose on mine. The funky IAC hose was too short.

This heater hose you speak of, where can I get it and what diameter size hose did you use.

Thanks,
Dan

I got it at Lowe's or Home Depot, I forget which one. You can cut your own length, so I only got about 10 inches of hose or so. I took the IAC hose with me, and matched the diameter there, on the spot.

Has anyone found anywhere where I could get this splice? Is it just a tube that goes from 15 to 20 or is it some type of plastic piece which would connect a 15 & a 20mm hose, such as as the 3" into 4" diameter couplers. I'd rather do this than what nad did, I think it would look better if I had a hose which went from one size to the next.

For the way I hooked it up, once you slide the 20mm over the 15mm nub, with the 1/2" hose around it, it looks like it just suppose to be a 20mm hose connection. I'll post a pic tomorrow, of it all installed.
