I think Atomic was doing this.. did you ever finish it? I was going to do this but i like my 99 lights after painting them inside and molding the reflector.. was just curious if you were able to make it work
Last I chatted with him, he was giving it a rest. Sounds like for some stupid reason, they made the backs of the new lights deeper, so it goes almost all the way in, less about 1/4". He said it was going to require some dremmelling, cursing, and luck.
So to make a long story short, I guess "swapping" headlights isn't as easy as we all hoped.
I wonder if the opposite would work tho. If I get a 2002 when my lease is up I'd probably want to swap 99/00 lights into it as I don't like the new lights at all. (No offense to 2001 owners of course... just a preference)
Hey, I agree with you, no offense to 2001 owners, but the 99-00 headlights were much more unique. The new lights make it look like a Chevy Cavalier. Just an opinion.
