Factory OEM steel
or
FelPro gasket material

I'm running this with a turbo if that makes a difference.

On DSM's we upgrade to a Cometic or Cosmetic head gasket. Better metal and thicker then OEM. It advise to have this gasket if your gonna turn up the boost!
Beleive it or not, I actually have a Cometic copper custom made head gasket, and yes it is certainly thicker than stock.

But like J-man said, I'm interested in exhaust headers gaskets.

So are you saying, you beleive the stock ones may give you a problem and will switch to what you consider the better gaskets later on? Or am I reading into that far too deeply?

I don't want to go with just what works, but more with what would be better. I'm not in the mood of changing header gaskets once the engine is installed, especially not the rear header.

Every high horsepower turbo Cougar/Contour to date has used the stock units. If it fails, I have an alternative. So, I guess you could say that I put in what I know works best.
