hail damage estimate

hey guys i need some help. i am thinking about getting my cougar painted another color. my car was in a hail storm about a month ago, and the whole car needs to be fixed. i was wondering if they were going to have to repaint everything? if so i would like to get at least the outside repainted and then just pay for the inside to be repainted. Also i was thinking about replacing my stock hood with a kaminari hood. How much do you guys think it would cost to fix the stock hood? Would it be cheaper to just replace it with the kaminari?

get an estimate from the body shop on repairing and painting the hood vs. installing and painting the new hood.

Isn't your insurance company going to cover the repairs. If they are could get an estimate for a "new" hood and paint and body work and they should be able to just cut you a check.

I needed a new hood after an accident and decided to get the Kaminari instead of stock. I had to pay for the Kaminari outright(about $460), and then the shop reimbursed me the cost of a stock hood(about $220). The painting was covered.
