I have searched....so...don't say it.

1. can i put a 2001 pod to replace my 2000? (harness and plugs fit)
2. If i do, will it effect my milage (odometer reading stay the same as before)?
3. will the guages be accurate?

Both cars are: 2.5 V6, Sport Packages, 2001 is an auto, 2000 is a MTX

Remember...i want to unbolt my pod and bolt in the 2001 pod...not taking the faces apart or anything.

1. maybe, would need to be confirmed by someone that has
2. if #1 can be done, then the mileage will be whatever was on the new cluster - your mileage will not remain the same
3. if #1 can be done, as long as the engine is the same (v6) you should be fine.

Yes you can do it, and it will keep the mileage thats on the 2001 cluster. Yes, the gauges will also be accurate. However, if you go to sell or trade in the car, and forget to mention that there was a cluster swap, and dont record what the actual miles are, you could be charged with odometer fraud if they find out.

I have no idea but in California you MUST report this change to the Department of Motor Vehicles and it is marked onto the cars title.. Check your states laws.

A ford shop can change it. Its probably fairly expensive, they have to burn it into a chip.... I think its like 100 bucks?

I dont know much. But i know it can be done.
