let the guessing games begin, becaue it just got my new taillight assemblies in this past week. im willing to bet money that it will be a first time taillight conversion. its not from japan, germany, or the US. the transformation will be started shortly after the new shop is set up. oh and the interior- yeah its getting a new look as well. im gonna go after the wow effect this time whick is something i havent done in a while. keep it in the back of your mind, but just be ready for something to blow you away.

like i said the tails are from a donor car tha is not from US, japan, germany, or (ill give this) england, or france, or korea, or mexico. that gives a very narrowed down choice. ill also say the were not cheep, but neither is the car(another hint)
as far as the rest of the bodywork to be done the stock bumpers will be gone in favor of new custom built ones. although i will be making molds, they will not fit a stock cougar because of another big change with the front and rear ends.
the interior is based on a concept car i caught wind of a while ago. the car will not make it to production, but i loved the styling so im gonna borrow a few ideas and mate them with my own renderings.

there is a place that you will see a pic of the rear of the car almost identical to what i designed. i had never seen the car before i started designing, but the end result on paper was almost the same. it is hard to find a lot on the car online. another hint

A bugatti perhaps?

I've been thinking about changing my taillights as well. I hate how the stock's look.
I know of 2 cougars on these boards that have done a conversion.
1- the spanish cougar, with Eclipse taillights
2- Californian? cougar with Mercedes Benz taillights.
I want to do a taillight conversion too but I know it would cost major $$$.

I thought so too Kelly.... I will not take away from 1badcats thread..... Cause at this time I only know which headlights I am doing, if they fit.... I won't know that till 2-3 weeks when they arrive from Germany. Headlights are more complex to do than tail lights.... But then again, conversions don't mean lights :)

this goes to both badcat and James...

i know conversions and stuff are great for show points and all... but as far as looks go, honestly, i think the Cougars headlights and taillights fit, look, and suit the car perfectly... why would you want to change them for something that might not blend as well?... or look un-natural. (other than that show-points reason)

i will say this for anyone serious about the car scene- we are all looking for a way to stand out from the crowd, and be unique, and reflect ourselves into the one think that we are more attached to in our lives(besides our girlfriends(or boyfriends) and mothers and fathers of course)- the automobile. we strive to be on the cutting edge of the the show scence, and because when its really done right it becomes a new chapter to your car and life. a place in time and a moment of truth when that car cover comes off and you can look at something that you did and it becomes a proud moment that you made it another step of the way. maybe i just read too deep into the scene but when you can take an ordinary object and make it something, thats what its all about. and seeing the smiles on others faces as they enjoy the work you put into it.

i hear you james. my stock lights arent the only thing that wont find its way back onto the car......did you have a designer put your ideas down on paper? it took me 2 different artists to get the idea into the way i saw it in my head. im just glad i found a friend who hooked me up on draw time!!

The other conversions I have planned are already on paper... I am working 14 hour days right now trying to ensure I get the stuff I need the first time to get it done. Its going to be a 6 month project I believe....

Matt... Trust me man, I don't wanna change my car either.... I love to look of my car, however the look will not let me reach my goals.... With the two mods I have planned, I should reach my goals and still look close to a cougar :)
