Anyone want to get together this Sunday? Maybe get to know a few people that don't get out to the meets. I figure meet up somewhere and go for a bit of a cruise.

I live in the Waterford area, if you are interested post here and what area you are from and we can find a nuetral ground to meet up at.

Most likely i wont be attending Woodward, unless I can convince my 10 year old daughter that it will be fun for her too

I spent Saturday and Sunday w/ Marcus and his dad at a Classic Car Show. Was pretty cool, and even took home a Top 25 trophy (at a CLASSIC show, of all things, lol...)

Unfortunately, someone asked if my car was a Cobalt. =(

I've heard Eclipse about 500 times, even from the guy changing my oil the day we left for Fest... The guy that called it a Cobalt actually read the Cougarfest 04/05 stickers in my window, and thought it said Cobaltfest. Of course, Marcus' dad stood up and said, "COBALT?!? Com'on man, you can't talk to him like that!" (He's funny as hell, Brad met him at Kart2Kart once...)

Then I get the people who look the car up and down (mine says COUGAR on the side plates we machined), and then ask what it is... I just point and tell em, "It says Cougar right there..."

We were making fun of people as they walked up, looked the car up and down, walked to the back, looking for emblems, and finally resorted to looking at the info sheet on my dash to figure out what type of car it was. Some of the faces we saw on people cracked us up. They simply had NO idea.

Oh, and I got some KILLER pics when two Ionia sheriffs on police bikes parked in front of me.

I saw Waltrip before the race when we were back in the pit/garage area. He looked irritated with the half-dozen or so people throwing things in his face for him to sign. Based on how the race went for him, I don't think he became any less irritated. Also met with Kvapil, McMurray, Kenseth, Nemechek and a few others...everyone should visit the garages/pits at least once. I'm not really even a huge NASCAR fan, and i had a blast back there.

I wanted Kyle Busch to win...which would explain why he was the first driver out... Stupid hot dog wrappers!
