This is rare, I am finding (please correct me if I am wrong); I’ve found it difficult to find images of this exact kit online. It was bought new (for close to $1,300 w/ tax, s&h) in the early 2000s, from Andy’s AutoSport, and has long been discontinued.

The rear bumper lip and side skirts appear to be similar to a Kaminari kit, and the front bumper appears to be similar to a VIS Racing kit. Although, this is/was an entire kit, made by Andy’s AutoSport (named “Reino”?). It looks similar to a kit I had back in the day called “Blitz” (if I remember right), and the closest thing offered new/still available today is the “Striker” kit from VIS Racing.

All of this said this is a great opportunity for someone to own a rare kit, preserved for the last 20+ years.

This belongs to a friend of mine. She and I both loved/owned Cougars back in the day (I still have mine, she doesn’t). I honestly think it’s worth more than $700 to the right person, however, the best offer (and the first person to come for it) gets it. I’ve honestly thought about buying it from her myself, but my Cougar ( instagram.com/svtcougar ) is already fully kitted, and any plans I have for a second Cougar will be Roush style, probably. I’m on the fence.

Anyways… from an effort/cost standpoint, it’s not really worth it to ship this anywhere, so… first come, first serve, to Millersburg Ohio (just southeast of Akron/Canton area).

Happy to answer any questions.

I saw this ad on the facebook page. For as many people who claim to want body kit stuff, there sure were a lot of crickets chirping for probably the last best deal we will ever see on a Cougar body kit, even in a fairly central location.

GLWS, It would be great to see someone build one last elaborate Cougar.

Actually, I would half expect RALYCAT to be interested...

I agree. There was even a guy in the Facebook group the other day that posted, asking for an aftermarket front/rear bumper... and I replied with this kit. He was interested at first, and then... crickets. Crazy, because like you said, people ask for kits all the time. And, with this one, I don't feel like I'm asking too much. The first decent offer will probably take it.

Like I said in my original post, my cougar is already fully kitted, and if I ever built a 2nd one, it will likely be Roush style (or the Wings West equivalent). Otherwise, I'd hop all over this kit. It may not be the most popular kit ever made for the Cougar, but it certainly seems rare; I can't even find a picture of this exact kit online anywhere.

FWIW, I travel frequently between Ohio, Indiana, and Connecticut so I may be able to help with transport if a buyer in the NE pays for a small trailer rental and any other expenses.

I like it I just don't need it. Alot of people are pulling away from body kits I think we need more cars with kits on them myself. Good luck though.

I would think you have a ton of body kit options in Germany?
There are a few yes.... but the three I would MAYBE CONSIDER putting on a Cougar are just smaller lips that attach to the Stock parts never full new Bumpers.

Still want that Roush Kit tho but it'll cost me a tremendous amout of money and will take alot of time to just get it to be legally on my car.....

Can you even get a Roush kit (without actually buying a Roush Cougar) these days? A close equivalent would be the Wings West kit.

I know, but it is the kit you have for reference. (Part Number) Looks like just the skirts were $450, and the bumper is always the big money. Try sites like car-part.com that list recycler inventories even though there isn't a part listing for that. If you filter by "bumper" and go through the photos you can see what's there. I found a red one near Lima OH last year that way. You can also put in a parts request with additional specific details and wait for the parts to find you. The only thing I haven't been able to easily track down so far is the cable bracket for the SVT throttle body, but even then I have 2 of the TBs themselves plus a modified larger one...

Ah, gotcha. I thought we were still talking about the Roush kit. 😅 But yeah, with this kit I am trying to sell... it seems the rear lip and side skirts are Kaminari clones. Looks like they offer the rear lip and skirts in that Dragon Z kit you linked (which I've been seeing for a while now), but the front bumper... I have yet to find another one like it for sale online. I believe Andy's offered it as a full kit back in the day (as that is how this one was ordered; as a full kit), but it appears they've discontinued this front bumper style. All in all, it'd be a nice/unique kit for someone to have... but seems like no one is interested (even with "OBO"). 🤷‍♂️ If no one buys it soon, I'll probably just give my friend the money for it, and throw it in storage (or the dumpster lol).

The rear lip is kind of cool. I wonder if it would look right without any of the other pieces.
