I was wondering if anyone has had this problem?
I went out to start my car yesterday, my fuel guage was showing 1/4 full, it started then sputtered out...I had run out of gas!
Just wondering what up with this?

It sounds like your sending unit in the tank. If possible always refill your tank before the hand reaches 1/4 of a tank.

just a far shot here, but have you by chance installed any gauge face overlays?? like indiglo, etc.

Well...I usually fill my tank when it gets to 1/4 tank because of the bucking I get at 1/4 tank. I thought it had been the fuel pump, so I got a Walbro to replace it with (replacement for this weekend), but now I'm thinking that the pump might not help this problem, but I'm going ahead with the replacement.

And no...I haven't replaced my guages lately, although I've been wanting to, Rista.
