Car is 95 percent complete with everything here to finish. The car is back to running now but needs some things finished up. As the car sits it has a 2.5 SVT motor with minor mods, we have 2 fresh 2.5 race motors also available as I will list below. Please email me personally and I can discuss what stills needs to be completed.

Also, just to save the inevitable question - no, you most likely would NOT be able to turn this in to a "street car" as these were built without a VIN as a "body in white" if I remember right.

Hey, I'm serious... hell, I'm thinking of getting this one and putting a for sale sign on the Orange one. At least I won't be scared of scratching the paint on this one

Oh, can I make it street legal?

#13 ·
Registered in Phoenix, I doubt it. If you register it up in northern AZ, then MAYBE (someone said something about it being a "body in white" so it wouldn't have a VIN, which would make it a track only car).

Not sure why anyone would want that car to be street legal.

It's one hell of a deal for a well built track car. That thing was totally stripped and a first class cage was installed.
That alone must have been big $.

GL with the sale of the sweetest race Cougar I've ever seen pics. of!

Buyer has backed out so I'm updating the post.

I have uploaded new pictures of the car and some of the spares at the following link.

New car has arrived and I am looking at all reasonable offers as I'm totally out of room. Email or call with offers. MUST MOVE ASAP!

Will sell the car the way it sits with a SVT 2.5 and all spares. $9,000

Race Motors also available seperatly

Argh, I need the winning lottery numbers and I would be all over this...

#28 · (Edited)
does it still have the specs on the suspension work that was made for the car , i know its nothing for the sale .... free bump...btw i will miss seeing that car. wish the money gods would grant me the money to buy it

#29 ·
Looks like Craig got an offer. Hopefully it wasn't too lowball. blustreak needs to buy this! haha.

The 04 Capaldi Cougar pics are the same ones posted by the Mumm brothers, so there don't appear to be more than two track Cougars in existence.

Can someone tell me (and others) exactly why the race engines could not be used in a street car? Besides bad gas mileage...Lol
