Need some torque info

I need to know what to torque the spindle lock nut that holds the rear hub assembly on to. It the huge 1 1/4" nut. And on a side note this rear hub assembly has got to be one of the dumbest designs i have every come across on a vehicle. NEW INFO ADDED BELOW.

If you referring to the hub nut - it's 290Nm (from the Ford CD).

I am assuming your talkin about Newton Meters but 290 is like 200 ft. pounds of torque. That seem like alot i have never had a vehicle that required that much torque needed for a spindle nut.

RE: Need some torque info

Yes, Nm stands for Newton Meters. My Ford CD lists is at 290Nm or 214ft-lbs. It does seem like alot, but at least you know that it's on there securely. Maybe someone else can verify this?

Edit: Attached pic of torque settings

Damn Slockin you were right with the specs 214 ft. pounds. Just FYI for the rest of yall a torque wrench rated at 250 ft. pounds if damn expensive. I already had one rated to 150 but thanks to Ford for designing sucha weird setup and a few hundred of my hard earned bucks now i got a 250.
