It was in November that I had to replace my alternator. The MF is bad again!!!!!

And of course, it always dies or something on a saturday or a sunday. When there is no way you can get parts until next week.

I think I have it figured out, as to why this happened. I'm running a dual battery set up. My front battery is bad, so I'm making an educated guess that it went bad, forcing the entire car and system to run off the second battery located in the trunk. Since the alternator had to be constantly running to try and keep up is what caused it to die so quickly. At least this is my guess anyway. If anyone else has any ideas, I'm open to anything at this point.

If it makes you feel any better, I went through 5 while I had the Cougar, and I had absolutely no stereo or electrical modifications on the car. I finally wised up and put in an aftermarket alternator, and the problems stopped. Go figure.

All original Alternator here!!! Yay for me, 70k miles...

But I've had 9 fuel pumps
