I've piled on 3,800 miles since installing my supercharger with no problems yet.

Please respond with your method of boost and mileage since. If you blew up your engine, how did it happen and how many miles? I'm willing to bet most Duratecs and Zetecs have put up with the increased stress without a lot of complaining.

I've been running nitrous for roughly 10,000 miles. I have been switching between the 75 and 100HP jets. No problems at all yet. Knock on wood!

How often are you spraying?
Only 3,800! I've got almost 9,000 since Jan and she's still running fine. It was your video clip that inspired me to s/c my car. Right now I'm thinking about selling my car!

When I first got it I was going through a 10LB bottle every week... Now it varies. Usually I fill it up every two or three weeks, but it's not totally empty when I fill it cause I don't have a bottle heater. There are usually 3 or 4 pounds left. Man, I love that stuff!
I blew my cougar engine while traveling back to colorado. The cause was overheating. I'm guessing the supercharger caused too much heat. I was also pulling a small uhaul which was stupid, but I had just gotton out of school and they kick you out of the dorms at the end of the year, so I really didn't have a choice - the stuff wouldn't fit in my car. I drove slow and turned the a/c off whenever I saw the temp start to rise. I guess that wasn't enough though. By the time I got to colorado, the car would barely idle. I had a blown head gasket and when I got the heads off the pistons had some gashes in them. Also my car was not tuned very well so maybe that had something to do with it. The new engine is doing great with the s/c, I just can't pull anything. SVT radiator being installed tomorrow hopefully.

Oh, and I have 4 or 5K miles on the car since the new engine with the vortech.
