stumbled accross this tonight in my moms escape.. Since its the same radio as the Cougs. it will work also. If you hold down preset number 3 and 6 at the same time it will cycle through each speaker and check to make sure they are working. if you press 6 again before it completes it will kick the radio into "diagnostic" mode. Now press preset numbers 1-6 to change the options. ex. one of them is to check the strength of the radio signal for the station your listening to. play around with it and have fun. Enjoy!
