Ok here's the story. Back during labor day weekend I finally put my system in. Now like anyone who just got done installing a system I rode around for a little playing my music. Then I got a ticket for violating the noise ordinance with loud music. The way in which I got a ticket was so stupid. I was riding through a parking lot and a gay ass cop(I thought he was security or something) who was crossing the street in front of the store stops and comes up to my car. He's like "Its Sunday morning and you're beating like its Friday night!" and I say "Sorry officer, That was real boneheaded of me. I'll be careful to respect others who don't want to hear loud music in the future." Now the cop leans back a little. I guess he wasn't expecting an 18 year old to say that. The he tells me to pull over into a handicap spot. This gay bastard goes to a Ford F-150 thats parked in the parking lot and brings back the little pad that we all hate. He's like "Ok son, I'm going to have to give you a cititation." me now basically begging "Sir, I really feel as if I have learned my lesson here, and I really don't think a citation is necessary." and he just slaps the ticket in my hand and tells me to have a nice day. I was pissed! Anyways thats not the end of the story. So like any other person who has gotten a ticket I call the little number and they tell me to call back in 10 business days because my ticket hasn't been filed. So I call back, still not filed. I wait five more days still not filed! The worse part is the asshole cop writing was so terrible that I was unable to read the court date. Anyways, I call 3 weeks after I got the ticket and they say I've missed my court date and I have to call another number to avoid issuance of warrant. Argh!!! This only gets worse. So I come to find out that the number that I need to call is busy for the entire time the office is open. It takes me a whole week of calling the number 20 times a day(no lie) to finally get them. I just spoke to them this morning. They said that there is a warrant out for my arrest and I have to come into their office(3 hours away from where I am) and pay $270!!!!(Thats mucho dinero for a poor college student like myself) to get everything cleared up. Sorry for the longwinded story I just had to vent.I guess this is just one of life's valuable lessons that was learned the hard way. Ever since I got my ticket I always ride with my system at 1/4 volume, and when I see a cop, security guard, crossing guard, military personnel, or anyone in an official looking uniform I turn my CD player OFF.
