I will be getting ne exaust on the cat soon. The only mod i have on the engine so far is a wepons dragon R intake.(Just startes modding) Im gonna do plug wires and plugs next. I am also gonna gut the precats too. I do plan on doing more to the engine soon.

But my question is can I go with a 3" exaust?? I am going to have the resonator removed at the same time. I plan on going with the flowmaster muffler but not sure on the 40 or 60 series???

I want it to be loud but not RICE!!!

What do you guys think?

Unless you're gonna go with Forced induction later, I think the 3" would be too big..Maybe 2.25"-2.5" would benefit you better..

I have a single exit 3" exhaust. Real nice, and good flow. And its not too big. If you are going to do a dual setup dont go bigger than 2.5".

3inch exhaust will result in drastic power loss, ask street concepts, in his first rendition of his car, it was dyno'd and it wasn't pretty.

Eric, I gained alot of power over the stock 2.25 inch piping. I would have to say that I havent dynoed my car, but will be doing so pretty soon. And i disagree about the power-loss with 3" piping.
