So for the first time in about 8 years yesterday I got the black car started. I have the bare minimum of everything hooked up so I'm not asking for serious help yet. However I just thought it was interesting enough to mention.

It needs O2 sensors so its running horribly. The idle drops so low that it just coughs itself out. However I got to noticing that when the RPM drops to 0 and the engine coughs you can actually watch it start running slow with the water pump belt stopping and changing direction. I've never seen it before where it has actually started pushing exhaust out the throttle body.

Gonna work on it later and see if I can get it to at least quit what its doing and hold an idle.

Figured out what happened. When I wired the coil packs for the 3.0 I got 2 of my wires crossed. So basically it was out of time and firing incorrectly. Problem solved. Runs a whole lot better now.
