I'm going to be in SE Ohio May 19-21 and then in Indianapolis May 22-30.

Hastily planned fest?
That's race week in Indy so there will be a lot going on in town.

Where in SE Ohio, Athens/Logan area? Hocking Hills is a fun place to drive.

I can't really drive the new car much, as I don't have it legally registered with the BMV yet; I'm keeping it to track and back only until the registration is sorted.

I'm not opposed to getting out with the Bullitt or Focus ST though. The MINI sucks for longer drives though because it doesn't have cruise control... first world problems, I guess.

My purpose for being there is in Byesville...I guess its more central/eastern than southeastern.
If you haven't brought one of the fun cars out to the triple nickle yet, I highly recommend it. I wont have my car in shape for a good run at it but I would do a ride along. (unless I buy that RF this weekend LOL)

I might have the track car at my house by then, if you want to drop by and check that out on your way through Columbus. I live about 2 miles off of I-70.

That would be sweet. That leg of the trip will be from Byesville to Indy so C-bus would be a great place to take a break.

OK, I'm not sure I'll be in town when you're coming through now. I'm planning to take the car to an exhaust shop in southern Ohio on Friday the 21st to get the bugs worked out of that, so I will be leaving Columbus on Thursday evening the 20th, and coming back on Saturday the 22nd - but probably not until later on Sat evening. Still a few things on my to-do list for Saturday afternoon before driving the thing 100 miles on its maiden voyage back to Columbus.

But if you want to drop in on your way back home, I'll certainly be around then. In fact, the 30th is race day if you want to drop by the track and see the FIRST EVENT...

Yeah, If I can justify a stop on the way home, I'll hit you up. That will be a hard-drive day so it would be a quickie unfortunately. I'm going to go all the way from Indy to eastern CT in one shot.

Yeah that's a long one. I drove from Columbus to Stamford once in a single haul a while ago (back in the Mapquest days) with 2 dogs in the car, LOL.

Well, if you're interested in stopping by for a few, Indy to Columbus is just a hair over 3 hours' drive.

We usually start racing by 10am and go until around 2:30-3:00, depending on how many entries there are. I'll most likely be working tech inspection from 7:30 - 9, so after that I will be spectating when I'm not driving. The circuit is at a place called Fortress Obetz, right in front of the main gate. You would be coming in on Orchard Lane from Groveport road, which is just a couple of miles off I-70. Spectator parking and driver paddock is in the lower parking lot that you come to first, so you can't miss it.
