Hey guys again my alternator has crapped out on me, the cougar is showing the age old signs of it too. The battery light is becoming more and more annoying while i drive. I was wandering...i have the chiltons manual and it has directions on how to replace the alternator and i was wandering if anyone had any tips or shortcuts to make my life easier. This would be the first time doing any major repair to my car. I have the ability to jack the car up and get all 4 tires about a foot or so off the ground and didnt know if i needed a lift or not. please help im sure all you guys know how frustrating this is

don't do what the chiltons guide says, i think it tells you to remove the engine, lol...
there is an easy way to do it, moraki is right, if you do a search you should find all the help you need...
i'd try and find it for you but i'm too lazy right now :tongue:
