I bought white face gauges with red backlighting from someone on neco and decided to have my brother-in-law install them for me because he "used to do it all the time"...... problem is, when he installed them he cut them to fit the needles in the holes. Now it looks really stupid, especially at night when there is light coming through the cuts. The red light is also really bright in some places on the gauges and really dim in others.... and my clock doesn't have a back light anymore either, is it possible that he didn't hook up all of the wires before putting my dash back together? Any suggestions on getting rid of these annoying cuts? Thanks guys.....

you honestly dont have to even remove the needles. all the gauges ive ever had (BOMZ, Reverse, and Full Indi), have just slid over the needles and over the stockies. For the price its probably just easier to buy another set of gauges, they're only about 24-32 dollars on ebay.

it may be possible to tear apart the gauges that have super glued. Just be sure to sand down the extra goop. After that just reinstall the new gauges over the blank space.

You can buy new ones and put them over the existing cut ones. But it will be really thick...so you can either just leave the needles pretty far out (so they won't rub)...or just take off the entire gauge face and just put the new one only.

Good Luck

Thanks to all of you.... i guess i will be tearing off the cut gauges, sanding them down, and reapplying new ones myself. I certainly learned my lesson, and i'm not trusting anyone else with modding my *****...........

I don't know of any gauges that slip fit over the needles on the 01-02...

If those gauges are the ones that are sold on CC, they are brighter in some spots than in others. When I had mine, the #'s like 20,30,40 and 120,130,140 lit up brighter then the numbers 60,70,80, on the speedo. The sides were brighter then the top.
