Okay, in the spirit of changing the color of the my Cougar from silverfrost to something great... does anyone know of a website that can help me find the correct paint code of a custom paint? I've tried searching the net, and it seems like something that might exist, however I cannot find it.

If anyone can help, or debunk what I'm thinking, it would be greatly appreciated.

You should go to a local paint shop. They have books with paint colors and codes in them. Its alot easier, and i wasnt able to find anything online when i searched either.

From my experience, when people have "custom" mixes made for their cars, they usually dont publish the paintcode or mixing codes. I know Stacy David from "trucks" did the project copperhead truck and his color was a custom mix from PPG but it is now a production paintcode from them. Most people will find a base color they like and "tweak" it with their paintshop, this is what I did with my gunmetal color. Also, the paintshops will have color samples from their various manufacturers such as mine with House Of Kolor. There are some breathtaking hues in those.

I kinda figured that people wouldn't share their custom paint codes on the internet. I guess I'll have to go speak to a local paint shop... I know one place that sponsored my local car show last summer, they should be able help me out.

Thanks for the info guys!
