My Dad said he wants to get me an exhaust kit for Christmas. I have searched for sound clips and found a couple custom mix-matched ones but I was wondering what the dual kits from customcougars.com sound like....without headers or a highflow y-pipe or whatever. Sound clips or video clips would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried the trubendz sight?? They have sound clips w/ and w/out Y pipes along w/ different mufflersLinky

Yeah I saw that already but the quality is terrible on that one clip.

btw: I am just getting an exhaust kit, no headers or y-pipe

I have been to that site before and if you have even looked at it, it does not have our engine or any of the brands on customcougars. The only thing close is the probe gt but that has a greddy and I am looking for the ones on customcougars

Get the trubendz duals with Borla, sound great...Or if you want loud get the trubendz with Flowmaster.

at http://www.swamplandneco.org there are some clips on some of the member's pages. there should be a borla one and two different dynomax systems.

I gotta tell ya, I was checking out that exhaust sound clips website, and none of them sound as good as your clip! Man I only hope everybody who listens to this has a subwoofer hooked up to their computer. nice!

Here are a couple zipped files with videos of my previous setups. I currently have a Borla, running off the same TruBendz Y-Pipe you hear, and feel it has the best sound of the 3. My Y-Pipe has a removable CAT which you hear in the Dynomax video. I have since reinstalled the CAT because it cuts down on the interior drone & WOT rasp considerably.

Pacesetter/Monza Exhaust with stock Y-Pipe (first system) Nice European sports car sound.

TrubendZ Dynomax with CATless Hi-Flow Y-Pipe (second system) Nice American V8 muscle car sound.

I used my little digital camera. It doesn't pick up the bass as good.

I have a 2.5" center/offset Dynomax muffler perfect for either replacing your stock muffler or for use in a full custom 2.5" system, I'll sell it for $55 shipped. It used to be Kingers and was at the rear of the car, i cut off the hanger but its still got a nasty weld spot. Its 100% functional and ready for install, though.
