cruise control

I'm installing an aftermarket (AudioVox) cruise control and need to verify some information. I was told by their tech support that the VSS wire is accessible at the computer 104 pin connecter (passenger firewall) and is pin 58 (white/purple). Also the tach is pin 45 (white/black). They also told me the Cougar was manufactured by Mazda and not Ford. Does anyone know if any of the 3 above mentioned facts are true??

Mazda?!?! Oh my...what things you hear. I'm clueless as to your CC question, but I'm pretty darn sure Mazda doesn't produce this *****.

yup, that's what I thought too. Now you know why I wanted to verify the wiring for the cruise control. Thanks for the reply, AA731.

It's possible parts were made by Mazda. My dad's 87? Bronoco had a special mazada racing engine put in it from the factory with one-of-a-kind paint job. So it's possible.
