We have sort of been tossing around the probability since last year of joining the national group June 25-27 in Ohio.

It's probably a good idea to discuss it to see how many people could actually make it to that event or if we need to stay in our normal July time slot. We had five cars last year, it would be great if we could hit that again at least.

An awful lot of events are getting cancelled right now so we probably need to also discuss if we will move forward on our own if the larger event gets cancelled.

SO:
-Can you make Dublin June 25-27?
-Do you want to make Dublin June 25-27?
-Should we move forward if the big event gets cancelled?
-Any other input

I will go pretty much anywhere, anytime as long as I have enough notice. My vote would be to join the larger group as long as we can get enough of us there. I would also vote to move forward on our own if the larger event gets cancelled, possibly changing the location to somewhere with a great driving road (Maybe Zanesville, OH) so we can entertain ourselves regardless of closures.

I cannot make this weekend because i will be doing a 2 day art festival. It would suck to miss since i havent since 2004, but it is what it is.
"It is what it is" will be the official motto of 2020 I think.

It's no coincidence we have historically gathered in July. If we cant get a reasonable turnout for the Dublin show, than I would rather find a date and location that works for more people.
I really liked the idea of joining the event in Dublin, but I have a wedding on Saturday that weekend I have to attend. I was tossing around the idea of driving out Thursday night and driving back Friday night.

I guess if enough of us regulars find a better weekend in July I'm 100% game!

Just my 0.02!

I probably couldn’t attend anything before August, unfortunately.
I'm gonna try my darndest to make it this year now that I'm living here in the lower 48 lol And if the big event gets cancelled, I'd still be down for a smaller meet.
Dublin is in my back yard, so that’s an easy one. But otherwise I haven’t missed one since I started going in 2004, so heaven knows I’ll travel.

For what it’s worth, I have an autocross event on July 12, but other than that it’s all clear.

And hey, if we still want to do Columbus, the OVR has autocross on July 12 and August 16 and 29, so we could add that as an activity.
july as a whole is tricky for me every weekend lol. august isnt much better. picked up some Spartan races and thats plugging up weekends, plus an actual vacation.

We would love to get some new attendees, hope you can make it work.
for me it depends on the exchange rate more than the dates. I got the car on the road last year, but if I were to go now - hotel for 2 nights alone would be close to $500 CAD. then food and gas - a $1000 car show.
That hotel that CATS is using is pricier than most of our members usually go for. You can typically get a pretty decent hotel for closer to $100-$120 (US) with enough notice, or the cheap hotels for under $100
Hey guys! I'd love to make it this year... It's been awhile! I'll be watching for more details....
Well, wedding for the June weekend got cancelled. So if the Dublin show is still on in June, I'll probably go no matter what since its only a 2.5 hour drive and I expect at least Andy to be there, lol!
Huh. Oddly enough my June has now opened up, and August-October look uglier. Sigh.

It looks like they've rescheduled to August 20-22.
Those dates in August should work for me.

im supposed to have a spartan race at Ft Campbell that weekend. they might not happen though. we shall see. Im in school at that time as well
Does anyone have any new thoughts about how to make CF2020 work? Looks like T & K are iffy this year now, unless they show up with Stuart as the TDI contingent...
Dublin Ohio right? This is doable.

Tim still has a Cougar or three. He just doesn't daily-drive old cars anymore. Can't blame him; I don't either. Plus mine is sheer punishment to daily drive, so...

And yes, if the CATS Club/Arthritis Foundation show happens, it will be in Dublin, Ohio - 3 exits from my home off I-270. Jury is still out!
Yeah, Tim still has his red 3.0L. I'm down to still do the Dublin show if it happens. I still...5 years later...need to get my yellow Cougar back to daily driver status.
