The Offspring wants to make the drive. I'd like to have both cougars running. lol. But health wise for me it wouldn't be safe to make that far of a drive on my own(separate cars). I want him to make it out before it dissipates any farther.

Man, we should probably have it somewhere further west... that's brutal.

That, and the car will break down twice in every state during the trip, requiring an engine replacement.

I have checked out two hotels, one has a much better parking lot situation than the other, but I know is going to be somewhat pricey. I have a list of 3 more I plan on checking out in the next week, then I will post here the options with price estimates for some input.

Thanks

Hmmph. apparently Pittsburgh is less of a drive for me than Halifax was. 10 hours vs 14. Would any other Canadians be rolling down via the GTA somewhere by any chance? or I-81 and I-90? it'd be Great to drive with some other Cougar guys.

Hotel update!!

I'm going to post a Poll/Thread separately to get an idea of what month/weekends work best to get the best Cougarfest turnout this year. After the dates are figured out, and can sure up group pricing.

Here is the list of hotels that I think will work for us, as well as estimated pricing (based on Expedia). Once narrowed down, I'll work with the hotels to try to get better group rates, even though our group isn't huge.

I know that these prices seem a bit high, but I assure that if we can make it work, Cranberry, PA area is awesome, with tons of choices of restaurants and things to do. There will be some traffic around, but nothing too crazy as we aren't in/near the actual city of Pittsburgh.

-DoubleTree by Hilton - $125/night - Huge/Best Parking Lot...Beer Store within walking distance...If we can make this work I would highly recommend.
-Hilton Garden Inn - $128/night - Parking lot isn't bad, has parking away from hotel...Lots of nearby construction
-Quality Inn - $100/night - Smaller parking lot, but has some parking away from hotel...Free Breakfast
-Holiday Inn Express - $121/night - Parking lot is ok, depending on weekend might be able to park in courtyard area

Please respond with comments/suggestions!

My choice would be DoubleTree. If the parking lot is nice and low car accessible without tearing a bumper or side skirt off. The road construction one would be my last choice those areas normally suck and I just replaced both driver side tires on the wife's 2016 civic due to something in the road from road construction. No guarantee I'm even coming though but thought I would share just in case

Looks like the dates of July 20th-23rd are looking best for autocross. Would these dates work for most folks?

Thanks

As far as I know now, yes. My parents made some noises about visiting in July, so if that happens and the dates overlap, I might have to miss CF this year.

I will find some time in the next week to get a list up of things to do, places to see, restaurants, all of that good stuff.

I can't attend CougarFest 2017

This is my first miss since 2002, so I suppose I shouldn't be too disturbed...

But I am!! :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

I will miss seeing all of you very much, and I am starting August with planning how I'm getting to Fest 2018 in my white '99 Coug.

Have lots of fun & post lots of pics, pls.

And Ty - next year I 'd love to see you & your kid when I come to Fest with my kid!! And if we can't get all 4 Cougars there, we can bring pics & brag anyway!
