hey guys i am coming to atlanta with my sister and i was wondering if u guys knew of any really cool bars/ nightclubs to go to in downtown atlanta were getting a hotel there the one night, then driving to macon the next day- any help would be appreciated

in atl, the only thing u need to do is get directions to buckhead.

its a city in atlanta, but its a party city

forget atl, you need to come to savannah's world renound riverstreet!

Bars are everywhere, but you'll find concentrations of bars in Buckhead, lounges in Midtown, and bars Downtown.

Some worth mentioning:
[*]Buckhead - Twist (tapas bar). Tongue and Groove (club)
[*]Midtown - Bazaar Urban Bar (lounge), Halo Lounge
[*]Downtown - Trader Vics (Polynesian-themed bar). The Mark (club)

For clubs, you *must* head into Midtown. Where you go depends on the music you like and whether you go to dance or simply be seen:

[*]Eleven50
[*]Lava Lounge
[*]MJQ

Oh, and to get loopy for just $5, enjoy the tasty, "free" beer at Atlanta Brewing Company every Friday at 5PM, then stumble over to Rocky Mountain Pizza. Both are hits with the students at Georgia Tech.

If you want to dance check out "Loca Luna". It's a brazilan club/bar but it's not in Buckhead. They always have live music and it pretty big.

If you want variety Buckhead is by far your best bet but it could get expensive.
