I just coated my tails with NiteShade and now need to cover them in Clearcoat. Does anyone know of a good brand or type that I should get to do this? I'm looking for specific names, what the can looks like, etc...

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks

Well i figured it didnt make a difference because a clearcoat is a clearcoat. I mean its just clear so i cant see how one can be so much better then the other, at least when it comes to a do it yourself job. I just went to Pep Boys and grabbed a $4 can and it worked fine. Sorry i dont remember the name of it, i just went in and grabbed the first one i saw.

Get Duplicolors Clear Top Coat - spray 2 nice coats on it and allow to dry - once completely dry wetsand the tails with a very high grit paper - wipe clean and then apply 2-3 more coats of clear... install when completely dry to the touch and wax after 30 days

I've run into this once before..
niteshades is a VHT product, i would lean towards using a VHT clear coat
What he said..... After night shading my tails, I used a Clear Coat (actually named Klear Kote, by PlastiCoat) that was designed for the Mirage paint, and When applied to my tails, it actually left the finished product rough and dull with a slight texture. I since used a different Clear Coat, from the same brand, and it worked pretty good, not as shiny as I would like, but thats the only product our stores down here sell.

Hope that works for you ;)
