While doing some research, I found a site that is pretty helpful. Since the Coug shares the engine with other Contour's and Mystique, I found this on a Contour forum. It's a how to for cleaning the Throttle Body from carbon. I will do this on the weekend since it's supposed to help clear out the EGR Insufficient Flow CEL code.

Here's the links:

I got this from http://www.contour.org/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=v6maint

If anyone tries this before me, let us know how it works.

I don't know why the links don't work. I'm not a member of that forum but they work for me. Did you copy the url right?

It was real simple for me (a complete non-mechanic). When I took off the TB linkage, I saw how clogged the EGR passages were. Try the links again and you will see what I mean.

I had been having that CEL code for a long time, and as soon as I did this, I went away for good. Try it out and let me know if you need some help.
