I disagee with exigent. there is really nothing to be alarmed here. The check engine light does not indicate any problem with the engine and you should continue to drive your car as normal for the next 3 fill ups until the light goes away. If the light still stays after 3 fill ups, then you should take it to the dealer to have it cleared or do it yourself by disconnecting the battery.
The check engine light is simply telling you OBD II has detected an occurance of abnormal emission condition or intake air mixture. Notice I say an occurance, that is because this type of situations usually only last a few seconds at the most. if you take your car to the dealer, they will just tell you the car is normal because the condition (caused by bad gas, water in the fuel line, very high intake temp, very low intake temp etc) no longer exists.
Even the owner manual tells you to IGNORE the CEL, and I quote:
"Light turns on solid:
... Temporary malfunctions may also cause your CEL to illumate. Example follows:
The vehicle has run out of fuel. (The engine may misfire or run poorly)
Poor fuel quality or water in fuel system.
The fuel cap may not have been completed tightened.
These temporary malfunctions can be corrected... After three drive cycles without these malfunctions... No vehicle service is required
