I am very afraid of a break in so I would like to rewire the hatch button to another location. (just in case somebody breaks in and tries to open the trunk, the regular button won't work.)Has anybody done this?

Also it is just a pain to reach down there all the time, especially because I am always picking up my friends and they are putting their bags and stuff in the trunk. I just need to protect my subs and amps!

yeah, but most people around here are pussies, so if they cant do it, they will bounce. In my old jeep, The middle dash piece was out but the head unit was bolted in. Although my window was smashed :-/.

I was just wondering if anybody had done this

I put a switch inline of the factory switch. No moving of anything, just to remember if I clicked the switch or not, and if I were to say where its at, then no use in having it-
