Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the plastic cover for the ATX shifter, and replace it with the shift boot assembly from the MTX? Is there anything but the shift boot that would be required for the change, like a plastic ring of some sort?

Any ideas would be appreciated...

I've seen something bout this on the boards somewhere....All you need is the platsic ring and the shift boot...I would assume you should be able to find one at a junk yard....hope that helps a little......

Right, utilizing the same center console. So the real question is this: Are the 2 consoles the same because if they aren't your not going to be able to fit the boot in.
