Posted in Audio, but no response so thought I would try here. My in trunk cd changer broke when the magazine would not eject. First I got an error message about the magazine, but now I am getting a "no cd detected" message. I replaced the changer, but still get no cd detected. The head unit works otherwise. Now I suspect a wiring problem. Do I have to pull the head unit to check the wiring harness? Even though it is not too cool, I like the stock unit, but just want it to work. Any ideas. Thanks.

OK, this is pitiful; I have to answer my own post. I pulled the head unit which was easy with the Ford tool purchased at Carquest. There was a burned out 3 amp fuse on the CD changer line in a holder on the back of the head unit. Replaced the fuse and the old changer unjammed and worked. So I am sending the rebuilt changer back to TARO Electronics in New Jersey. Ted at TARO offered good advice and service, if anyone is looking for replacement parts.
