I completely forgot where a link a member posted is.. it might have been two links.
But ya, it described all about the 2.5L duratec engines.
Where can I see some of the info about the origin of my engine? The sticky isnt the link i saw, it was an external link, and it mentioned how it was designed by ford and cosworth...
Anyone?

edit: actually i think it was this link - http://www.newcougar.org/forums/welcome/4193-cougar-101-a.html
I thought the engine was not a north american designed engine though... for some reason I thought it was made over in Europe somewhere.

edit: from this link -http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/kitcar/kb.php?aid=32
All three V6 Duratecs are evolutions of the same design. It is a modern aluminum DOHC V6 with a 60 bank angle. The primary engineering input came from Porsche, who were developing a similar V6 before selling the engineering to Ford, and Cosworth, who helped with cylinder head manufacturing.

The Jaguar AJ-V6 engine is similar but adds variable valve timing. Mazda's AJ version also has this feature.
So the engine IS actually european? .. German?
