Did you buy a random orbit buffer....I hope. I would go Liquid wax, it makes buffing so much easier, just drip onto car then buff......If you want a shine shine, it's gonna cost some money. Get the a majority of the Maguires (sp?) line, like around 6 of em, I think there are around 10 in all. It really works but get ready for your arms to get tired.

My buddy uses 3M Perfect III (or was it II...hell, i can't even remember if it's called Perfect). Works really good from what i've seen. The picture i attached has a spot he buffed on the door with that stuff after he finished painting those flames on his Monte he used to have.

Before buffing:

After buffing (and other misc detailing):

Too bad he had to sell the car:(

Did I read it correctly? You want to use a deep cleaner AFTER waxing it? No. I dont use buffers (tried once and I either suck at it or the buffer was crap). Anyway, you need to clean the car completely...twice. Then I prefer a clay bar once or twice a year followed by a 3 step deep cleaner, then polish, then finally a coat of wax. It will be baby-bum smooth. I think I have been using the Meguires 3 step process; good stuff though Mothers/ Eagle One, etc are good too.

Just dont use a deep cleaner after waxing cuz you'll just strip the wax right off and that would be bad.
