Does anyone know if our brake sensor works on an open or closed circuit?

I am asking because I got some aftermarket brake pads after my motorcraft ones wore out, but the aftermarkets didn't come with sensors. I thought I'd make some "terminators" by cutting the sensors out of the old worn down pads. I wasn't sure whether I should solder the wires together or keep them separated. In other words, I want to make a brake sensor eliminator. Thanks!

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I did this as well and I am 99% sure you want to connect them together. If you want to double check, I know there is a how to floating around somewhere either on here or Team NECO.

The sensor waits for the circuit to open for it to trip the warning light. In other words, the circuit is closed until the brake pad wears down and through the wire, and then the circuit opens.

Just cut the wires and connect them, like silverfrost said.
