I am getting ready to get new pads and maybe new rotors. I am looking for a pad that doesn't shed like the stock pads...having polished wheels that look gun metal is not cool and wiping them down daily to every other day is getting old REALLY FAST! What pads do you all suggest...and how bad do they shed.

Now that I think about it when the car was inspected the right front rotor is starting to warp...guess I need new rotors...what rotors do you all suggest??

Money is a factor...also for the rotors what something that willn't rust. But if they are cadium coated will the coating just wear off??? If so I guess that it isn't worth it.

Cadmium plating will protect the rotor from rust; however, the portion of the rotor surface that meets the pad surface will wear off the plating. Then again, it'll wear off the rust from that section too. Some fairly good and fairly dust-free pads for stock rotors are Raybestos PG Plus pads (Usually found at an Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. If you have four-wheel drum brakes, the front pads are PGD648M). Slotted rotors will cause any pad to dust more as they 'cut' into the pad. I'm not sure on cross-drilled rotors and their effects on pad dusting.

Yeah... I've have all types of brakes, and unless you're going for a larger rotor setup and/or a stronger set of 4pot+ calipers, then stick with the basics...

I like raybestos and benedix pads...They work well, and last a while.

Money is nice to keep in the wallet...but I don't want to keep dealing with the dusting...it is driving me nuts and makes the wheels look like crap. I am thinking of going with just standard rotors but need something that willn't dust...thinking about the carbon ceramic. Thoughts???
