Ooooh - it's a big job. I know a guy in Dayton who switched his DOHC Saturn from an ATX to MTX. This was months ago, and he's still working the bugs out of it. He did it himself at home, though.

Tou gotta think, you'll need, in addition to the transmission: pedal assembly, clutch, flywheel, a computer from a MTX Cougar, new half-shafts... I'm sure there's a ton more stuff, too. Probably better to trade in your ATX Cat on another one.

My hat's off to anybody who has a go at it, though.

Where the eff is Ansonia, Ohio?!

Nobody that i know has done it in ohio. But there has been a few members in neco, one in michigan in fact, that has done it. It's a bit of a PITA from what i've heard. If you do it yourself i've heard it can cost around $3000...i think. Contact exigent. He's done it already and i think he has a parts list and a how to on it. I think he also offers to do it. But he lives in michigan. I've thought about doing it. But i'm just not sure if it's worth it. With all the work done so far to the car i'm not sure if i want to start over again by trading in for an mtx.

Thanx I figuered as much i have a friend w/ a 2000 Z28 and he did it because he ordered his from the factory and he could get his ATX faster, but he also is still working out the bugs ALSO.

and Ansonia is a town w/ about 1000 people in it( mostly in the country setting like me) its about an hour north of Dayton and a bout 10 minutes north of Greenville do you have any idea yet. Is there any towns you have heard of around here, or ELDORA SPEEDWAY WHERE THEY RACE WORLD oF OUTLAW SPRINTS I'M ONLY ABOUT 10 MIN. FROM THAT ALSO

no offense, but its not even worth your time or money. Save the 3 grand for parts and install and go get a Crotch Rocket if you want to go fast.

Or save the 3 grand trade in your coug and get an STI, EVO 8, SRT-4

I dont mean to ruin your idea, but the only thing I have heard about this swap is that its a pain the ass, its expensive and most people say just trade in your auto coug for a manual coug.
