Hi I am looking to buy a street weaporn kit.. I saw it was fiberglass and I was wondering how has your kit held up, have u had any problems with the fiberglass. And did the kit fit right out of the box or did it have to be modified and take more $$$...Thanks a lot.

Matt,

I've had my kit on since last October. Except for some minor scraping underneath .. the kit has held up even better than i had thought it would.

Taking a risk of being redundant (i'm still a "new" member afterall), the kit NEEDS to be modified. It will not fit straight out of the box. The seams need to be finished, the side skirts require shaving..etc.

The fiberglass in the kit is one strong mother...but it is a lot of work...and a lot of beer...

Kit installed Nov 10th... first 8 inch stress crack happened like April 12th. I remind you I drive my car everyday, hard over bad roads.. Also fenders have help up minus the waves but my side skirts have one small stress crack and same with rear bumper.

the side skirts and rear bumper are incredibly sturdy. i have the andys auto sport front bumper and its flimsy as all hell. they are in great condition. i would recomend them as long as you have the $$$ to get them installed. be prepared to pay as much as $1500 to get the kit installed (with molding the side skirts) and that doesnt include painting. unless you knew someone (luckily i did) you will pour out mad cash flow to put this kit on. takes much modifying.
