I'm from GA, what part are you from?

BTW I'm not a troll, I've been reading this page for almost a year as I was interested in buying a Cougar, even though I didn't get it, I still come here to check news and stuff
He is from Cochran. I used to live there but now in Florida.

Where is Lawrenceville?
G
About 20-30 minutes from ATL
what kind of car?

Larry

Just check the last 2 letters from the nick
I came REALLY close to buying a Cougar last year though. Test drove one and all, but pricing at the time wasn't THAT attractive so I held off for a while, and got the SS at the very end of last year, even though it was more expensive, it felt right, and very fun too. What attracted me to it was the amount of aftermarket for the SS, that's one thing that kinda upset me with the cougar, limited aftermarket support. Great car nonetheless!

Camaro SS or Impala SS? What mods so far?

Larry

BTW I dont drive a cougar either.
G
2001 Camaro SS
Only mod so far was the SLP loudmouth exhaust. Next, either an induction lid or a short shifter (I got the crappy stock ball shifter, ugh!) wanna get a Pro 5.0
cool. Have you ran it at the track yet? If so what are your times?

Larry

Running it for the first time on the 11th. Hoping for something in the mid to low 13s. It's a M6, and I'm kinda new to the whole shifting thing (though I'm alright at it), and I'm gonna run it on my stock Eagle GS tires (haven't had time or $$ to buy some sticky Nittos yet). I'm just gonna do it for the fun of it, not going for best time, not now at least. A couple more mods, tires, and I'll make an all out run, going in the 12s for sure then.
Punk, stop knocking on GA!
Seriously, I live in Douglasville, which is 15 miles west of Atlanta. While I remember, I'm editing this to say if you want to meet up w/ some of us GA members, check out the bottom of the board for the chapters, and click on SouthEast NECO

By the way BadaSS, you made the right chioce...I wanted a camaro
but my insurance company said I didnt need one, so I got a Cougar instead. Are you part of any f-body clubs?
Is SLP that exhaust with 4 tips coming out of the middle of the back?

Fuzzy I grew up in GA. I am not dogging GA. That is my little brother who started the thread.

Larry

Thanks kris00cougar, I feel the same way also. As of now, I'm not a member of any clubs yet, but I am a regular visitor at www.ls1.com and go to gatherings, we're having one late may. I have the SLP Loudmouth exhaust, and it's 4 chrome tips coming out of both sides, not the middle. I saw the 2 rectangular tips that go in the middle but didn't like the look.
G
I am so glad that you didnt do that to your car. There is a Sunset Orange Metallic SS with the center pipes here in Birmingham for sale and it is horrible!!! The car is beautiful with the exception of that. I dont know how near Atlanta you are, but I hear that their f-body assoc. is pretty big and also active. I have been to a meeting with the Birmingham chapter and they were talking about it.
G
Yeah there are a lot of F-Body owners around here, but I haven't had the chance and the time to really get into it, I just moved to GA this january. I agree with the center pipes, ugh nasty!
