Hey- you know that annoying line of road haze you get outside the range of your wiper blades- that trace the path of the blade perfect around the outer reaches of your windshield? The one that normally comes off while washing your car? IT WON'T GO AWAY!

I have washed my car- applied Windex to the inside and outside of the windshield and it won't go away. Any pointers?

you might want to post this in the car care thread/have it moved, or you could pm detailing dude. or search, think there was some post similar about watermarks etc a while ago...

hope this helps :)

I know this sounds goofy, but if you have any rain-x, give that a try. It seems to have some sort of solvent in it, it helped get rid of some water spots on my windshield.

if newspaper and window cleaner doesnt get it off,, try triple zero (000 grit steal wool) grit steal wool.. and rub lightly and dont use it on mirrors , but it should work

I tried every of the above mentioned ideas and more, none of them removed the water spots. I asked the re-con guy at work what he does to make the windshields look new and he gave me the mist simple answer....wax. Wash and wax your windshield, just as you would your car. After two coats, the spots were completly gone.
