I havent seen any cougars with aftermarket side mirrors. There was a celica with carbon fiber mirrors, small and wide. I like them. Im going that route one day. Anyone know why no one changes side mirors on cougars?

Because the oem mirror looks good and matches the styling of the car. The small carbon mirrors are ok but I was disappointed in them when I actually installed them on another car.

I have my mirror bases painted smooth and the caps are carbon fiber
