im planning to get 18'sw/tax return , is there any noticible difference in accelaration w/ 18"S on vs. 16s , + for those of you who have the B&G springs w/18's how does it look i want my wheels to look tucked in.
I'm sure you can do a search on this as I believe it has been discussed before. I have 18's and notice a tad bit of a loss on acceleration. It requires a little more to move a larger size wheel than a smaller one. Weight has even a larger impact.
It will depend on the particular wheel (weight) and the size tire (overall diameter) you put on it. If you keep a the overall diameter and weight similar the 16s, then you shouldn't notice much of a difference.
You will also have an increase in stopping distance. You will have moved the unsprung weight to the outside of the wheel. This increases rolling momentum .. ain't science fun?
