I don't know exactly what the problem is here, but could someone please let me know if they know what it is.

The A/C is not functioning correctly. Air only comes out on the highest setting (4), and even then it is not cold air, but seems as though just the fan is on (just blowing in air). However, the heating works perfectly. I have to find out if it works on 1-4 or just on 4 for the heat as well. Someone thinking the compressor or what? How hard is it to install? something to tackle myself if i'm mechanically inclined? Any help would be great! Maybe just needs to be charged/has a leak? Thanks in advance.

yes this is true, but it sounds like they have a little different of a problem. Originally i was going to post in that thread, and then realized its different so i didn't want to post in something if its not the same issue. but thank you.

zanmoto: thanks for your help

They are two seperate problems.
When the #4 setting on the hvac is the only one working you have a bad blower motor resistor. Very helpful post.
For the no cold air problem i'd check your a/c and charge it.
