Hey all,

I am interested in purchasing a European "Ford" Grill. When looking at them at www.batinc.net, I noticed that they sell two different ones... apparently because of grill sizes.

Here's my question, is there a drastic difference in sizes? Also, why we are on the subject, is the only difference in grills the sizes? How about designs? I have seen some "Cougar" grills with a beehive type of backing.

There is... on the 01-02, the corners aren't cut out, as the headlights didn't have pieces on the ends that met the bumper. You could technically cut the grille for an 01-02 to fit a 99-00 if you had to.

The 01/02 looks a WHOLE lot better... the older one looks weird... just go ahead and get a grill insert though.. u won't regret it!

2001+ grilles have the beehive type backing, while the 99-00 have the slit type design.

The 01-02 grill bolts in the same place as the 99-00. To make the 01-02 fit...you have to cut the ends off. You should be able to just line them up next to each other and cut off the difference.

Does the new grill with no ends look tacky?

Anyone know of anyone who has done the conversion and posted pics?
