Yeah alot of members do that. It does make it look sleeker and fit better. Just be sure to make it as smooth as possible, and also clean it realllly well before applying the decal, cuz you dont want that corner to start to tear away from dust etc.

yeah, any imperfection will still show up even though it's covered by vinyl..

wouldnt recommend sanding the surface. Vinyl adheres beter to a smoother surface instead of a textured. If you must get rid of the DOT numbers, I would only do that immediate area nothing more.

Sand over it with higher and higher grit sandpaper to make it smooth. Finish it off with 1800, and it will look smoother than it did stock!

JEEZ!, can't (I) say what I want, how I want, or even where I want to, without someone saying (something)...even spell something wrong by mistake and people say something.

That would be better, but of course that's a really long run on sentence.

That is just simply painful to read. Why not just type it normally? I would think that it would be easier and faster.

well, i applied the 3rd brake cover, i sanded the most of the DOT numbers off, can still tell where they are if you look and there is a small bubble near the bottom, after i put it on my car it rained, hopefully it sticks well, should it?

has anyone ever had problems with the sticker or 3rd B. cover coming off/peeling off??

I have had mine on for two years now and no problems. I never sanded it or anything.
