Hey T&A brothers and sistas! I just bought some 35th anniversay rims from another NECO member. Bad part is they were kinda damaged in shipping. They got a few scratches on them from being bounced around. They weren't packaged real well. I'm pretty pissed about it... We are submitting a damage claim on them, so hopefully I'll get some money back but I'm not holding my breath. The scratches aren't horrible, but fairly noticeable on a couple of the rims (I'll post pics later). The wheels are polished steel (not the painted ones). Couple of questions:

1) Are they repairable?

If not then.....

2) I know alot of folks think that chrome wheels look gay on cougars, but what if I chromed these bad boys? Opinions? I personally think they'd look sweet chromed and they would be unique....

What should I do?

you can powder coat them and polish the lip...i intended on doing that with them if i woulda kept them

edit: you don't gotta gotta polish the lip but i think it'd look pretty good....that and leave the center caps silver.....well...that was my master plan anyway.....sorry you have to even worry about this man...we'll get this worked out though one way or another...i'm feelin pretty bad about it

Only 2 of the 4 are scratched. I've filed a claim with UPS. We'll see what happens. Even if I do get some money, they are gonna cost $125 each to get repaired according to the local wheel shop... Oh well. I don't really have money to put rubber on them anyways, so it's not like I'm in a rush.
